Salt & Shade was born on the Cornish coast, from equal parts frustration and inspiration. After ordering a parasol online that looked beautiful but collapsed in the first sea breeze — and watching its replacement snap on its very first use — we saw the need for something better.

Cornwall’s beaches deserve more than single-use plastic umbrellas destined for landfill after one summer. We wanted to create shade that was as aesthetically timeless as it was functional and reliable — designed to withstand coastal winds, crafted with care, and built to last.
